My Favourite Wedding Venues in NI

The Clandeboye Lodge

Clandeboye Lodge has such a lovely sense of history, with its beamed ceilings and characterful spaces setting the tone beautifully for a wedding ceremony. It’s one of those venues that can comfortably hold lots of guests, yet somehow always manages to feel intimate, which makes ceremonies there feel really special. The events team, led by Gia, are genuinely unparalleled. Their warmth, attention to detail and drive for perfection mean everything feels calm, considered and very well looked after from start to finish.

The Wool Tower

The Wool Tower is a truly special venue, set beside the river where the gentle sound of flowing water provides a peaceful and grounding backdrop to the ceremony. The industrial chic style of the new ceremony space feels modern and distinctive, while the stunning full-height framed window draws the eye straight out to the surrounding landscape. The team, led on the day by Ellie and Amy, are the sweetest, with nothing ever feeling like too much trouble. Everything is handled with such ease and care that couples are free to relax and simply enjoy the moment.

Larchfield Estate

Larchfield Estate offers a wonderful range of ceremony settings, from the gardens to the orangery and the barn, allowing couples to choose a space that truly reflects their vision for the day. The historic surroundings are marvellous for photographs, with every corner offering something beautiful and timeless. The team, led by Meg, are the loveliest bunch, working quietly and thoughtfully to make sure everything runs smoothly and that you have the loveliest day from start to finish.

The Phantom House, Galgorm

The Phantom House at Galgorm is unmatched in its historic charm. It’s one of those venues that really needs very little in the way of decoration because it speaks for itself, although fairy lights add an extra layer of magic. The team, led by Donna, are always on hand to make sure you have the best possible experience at one of the very best venues around. For me, it was love at first sight.

Finnebrogue Woods

Finnebrogue Woods is such a special and unique setting, tucked away in a secluded forest beside a private lake. What’s not to love? The ceremony circle is one of my favourite spaces to officiate, with birdsong in the trees and the gentle lapping of the lake creating the most peaceful atmosphere. It’s ideal for a relaxed wedding ceremony, followed by a totally unique tipi party. Led by Andrea, who is always smiling and always calm, nothing is ever too much trouble in this fairytale woodland setting.

Tullyveery House

Tullyveery House is a beautiful private Georgian mansion with views for days, no matter where you look. My favourite place to deliver ceremonies here is the walled garden. Surrounded by flower beds and red brick walls, it creates an intimacy that feels truly magical. Led by Charlie, the team are some of the most friendly and accommodating people you could hope for, delivering perfection in every aspect of your day.

Your House

Yes, really, your house. As a humanist celebrant who can legally marry you anywhere, there is something incredibly special about a low key ceremony in your own space, surrounded by your own people. It might not sound exciting at first, but trust me when I say a whole new level of magic can be unlocked with a home ceremony that is beautifully simple and simply beautiful.
